Calgaryism
My journey into the social media world began more than a decade ago when I created Calgaryism on Facebook.
As a born and raised Calgarian, I was looking to find a way to share my strong affinity for my city with others. What better way than to create a community page where people could share their thoughts, photos and anything else related to the city they lived in.
After getting good interest from many people on Facebook, I chose to also make Calgaryism pages on Twitter and Instagram. Little did I know what would become of Calgaryism several years later!

I Love Calgary
I truly feel blessed and lucky to have been born not only in Canada – one of the world’s greatest countries – but in Calgary also.
In my opinion, this city is one of the greatest in the world because it is full of health, happiness and opportunity.
Calgary welcomes people from all cultures, ethnicities and religions to our city with open arms.
Our diverse population (more than a quarter of Calgarians are foreign born) is the backbone of what makes this city tick, bringing with them positive values and influences when they arrive.
Calgary is also a very young city. In 2014, the city’s median age was 36.1 years, while 48.3 percent of all citizens were between the ages of 25 and 54.
