Trinity Hills: 5 Facts on the Proposed Urban Village
Have you heard about Trinity Hills in Calgary, one of the newest neighbourhoods coming soon to the city’s northwest? Located to the east of WinSport (Canada Olympic Park), south of Trans-Canada Highway, west of Sarcee Trail and north down from the top of the plateau from Cougar Ridge, there’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to this new urban village!
In the coming months, Metropia, a leading real estate development company based out of Toronto, will make further announcements on what more to expect at Trinity Hills. Metropia has an impressive portfolio of properties in the Greater Toronto Area as well as a few in Calgary, including University City in Brentwood and the “carless” N3 condos in East Village.
The company has built a strong reputation when it comes to creating urban villages in some of Canada’s major cities. But for now, this is what we know so far about this exciting up and coming urban village:
#1 – Trinity Hills is next to WinSport & Canada Olympic Park
From Trinity Hills, residents will be able to literally walk to WinSport and Canada Olympic Park to engage in a wide range of activities including:
- Mini Golf
- Sports Events
…and much, much more! Trinity Hills itself is likely to have a gym in the area, but why would you even pass up the opportunity to use WinSport’s amazing facilities!?
#2 – There’s a massive parkland and lots trails
Coming with the location is an incredible 160 acres of new parkland and more than 17 kilometres of hiking and biking trails easily accessed by anyone living in the neighbourhood.
For a visual representation, see the Trinity Hills infographic at the top of this page to get an idea of just what that will look like! This is an incredible opportunity for those looking to live a healthy lifestyle and enjoy using pathways and green space for leisure and recreation.
#3 – Direct access to the mountains
Unless you live in Crestmont or Valley Ridge, there are few neighbourhoods who have such quick-and-easy access to the roads that take you directly to the mountains.
Getting to and from the mountains is that much easier as you won’t have to drive through the city to reach these routes. It should take you about 60 minutes to Canmore and 75 minutes to Banff (going the speed limit).
#4 – It will have a central town centre
Central in Trinity Hills will be a “complete urban village” town centre complete with the following:
- Ground level shopping
- Restaurants & cafes
- Featured retailers: MEC, Goodlife & Save on Foods
- 750,000 total square feet of shopping, dining and recreation
#5 – The builder is experienced in creating urban villages
Metropia has an impressive portfolio consisting of buildings located mostly in the Greater Toronto Area but also a few in Calgary. Their Calgary projects include N3 in East Village, the “carless” condo offering very affordable units to those who have no need for an underground parking stall.
Also, University City in Brentwood is theirs. If you’re familiar with this urban village, it consists of four condo towers – two high-rise and two mid-rise – and one townhome development on the backside.
Knowing that a developer is experienced in the type of product or community they are expected to build should be reassuring if you’re a potential buyer interested in living in the area. Be sure to check out Metropia’s full portfolio at www.metropia.ca.
