Calgary Marathon's Victoria Park Spirit Hub Event

Come one, come all to the Calgary Marathon's Spirit Hub Event being hosted by the beltline community of Victoria Park.

• Date - Sunday, June 1st, 2014 - 7:00am to 1:00pm

• Location - Grumans Delicatessen & Catering - 230 11th Avenue SE

Every year, the Calgary Marathon coordinates this challenge with various inner city areas in Calgary to host spirit hubs; their purpose, to act as a gathering place for friends, family and supporters of those participating in the marathon.

Spirit Hubs are fun and friendly social events where you will not only cheer on your mom, dad, brother, sister, friend or whoever it may be participating in the marathon, but also may meet a few new friends while you're at it.

For Charity!

In 2011, Victoria Park won the Spirit Hub Event challenge earning $2000 dollars for a charity of choice

In 2012, Victoria Park came in second next to East Village for a winning of $1000 dollars for the Mustard Seed

In 2014, Victoria Park is looking to take back their title from East Village and win the grand prize for their charity of choice Inn from the Cold. Are you going to be part of that title!?

Victoria Park is working in partnership with Grumans and Anytime Fitness to host the up and coming event.

Bike and Elliptical Competition

Is running down the street not for you? Anytime Fitness has you covered with their state-of-the-art bikes and ellipticals!

They are providing these machines so that anyone can participate in the marathon run without committing to the full race.

Both individuals and teams can sign up to run 1k, 5k or anywhere up to 10k! Individuals and teams are both automatically entered into prize draw!
