Queens’s French-inspired cuisine is to die for; we absolutely love the salmon benedict, served on a fresh house-made croissant topped with fried capers, red onions, horseradish crem fraiche, and hollandaise.
Make sure to arrive at Queens early on weekends to avoid a long wait. During the weekdays, the restaurant isn’t as full, making it the best time to try one of the best eggs benedicts in Calgary.

Blue Star Diner is a long-established brekkie restaurant in Bridgeland. Like its sister Dairy Lane Café in Hillhurst, it serves up some of the best eggs benedict in Calgary, along with many other top dishes such as poutines, burritos, and kids’ meals to boot.
All of Blue Star’s bennies are served with two poached eggs, red potato hashbrowns, and a delicious house-made hollandaise sauce. We always ask for them to give us extra hollandaise because it goes well with the hashbrowns.
Our favourite benedict is the smoked salmon & avocado, which comes topped with pickled red onion and crispy capers. The smoky taste gives this particular benny dish a unique flavour, while the lemony tang of the capers gives a satisfying aftertaste.

Galaxie Diner is a long-time brekkie favourite amongst local Calgarians. Located on a quaint street in the Beltline community near downtown, it is a great place to enjoy eggs benedict in Calgary.
The restaurant’s set-up is reminiscent of a 1970s café, with an open kitchen and leathered booth seating along the wall. The seating area is rather small, so expect to wait for a table if you’re heading down during peak hours.
We absolutely love the Reuben benedict topped with fresh Montreal smoked meat, sauerkraut, gonda cheese, and Myhre’s house mustard. This could very well be one of the most unique creations our list of Calgary’s best eggs benedict dishes, and one of the most scrumptious at that.

John’s Breakfast and Lunch is an unsuspecting diner located in Calgary’s Mount Pleasant community. The restaurant has become very popular amongst breakfast lovers who enjoy simple, straightforward dishes for a reasonable price.
It is hard to find a more affordable eggs benedict in Calgary. For $14 (compared to $20+ at most other restaurants on this list), you get a traditional eggs benedict with two poached eggs, a thick slice of applewood smoked ham on top of an English muffin and glazed with hollandaise.
John’s also has a veggie version which skips the ham for a grilled tomato and fresh spinach, an enjoyable dish for those who delight in a no-meat diet.
