4th Street Lilac Festival

• Where – 4th Street SW between 13th Avenue and Elbow Drive S

Funny Fest

• When – June 1 to 11, 2017

Laugh your way into the end of the spring season at one of Calgary’s best annual comedy festivals.

A staggering 11 days of comedy at 9 different venues across town with 11 different themes will bring you more than 70 stand-up shows.

Ignite! Festival for Emerging Artists

• When – June 4 to 10, 2017

• Where - Vertigo Theatre, 115 9th Avenue SE

• Cost - $15.00 to $40.00

If discovering new genres and talent to go with is your thing, then the Ignite! Festival for Emerging Artists will be right up your alley.

Never-seen-before (and some returning ones, too) artists are given the opportunity to present their work to audiences at the Vertigo Theatre in the heart of downtown Calgary.

Sled Island Music Festival

• When – June 21 to 25, 2017

• Where – multiple venues, downtown area

• Cost - $10.00 to $385.00

This award-winning music festival is known across Canada as one of the best and most diverse of its kind!

See over 250 different bands perform plus live comedy, art and film shows at more than 30 different venues across Calgary, most of which are concentrated in the downtown core.

Spruce Meadows National

• When – June 7 to 11, 2017

• Where – Spruce Meadows, Calgary

• Cost - $5.00 to $30.00

The worlds top horse show jumping nations compete for top bragging rights and prize monies during the Spruce Meadows National, the first of several spring and summer tournaments to take place at the faculty just outside of Calgary in 2017.

Other activities include shopping, face painting, pony rides, wagon rides and more.
