Time Killing Activities at the Calgary Airport

I think we all have been stuck at the Calgary airport at one time or another.

An hour, perhaps two or even three hours of combined time for check-in, security clearance and waiting for flights that are sometimes delayed by just as much time.

Time that can feel extremely drawn out if you don't have some time killing activities to do at the Calgary Airport.

Here are some great activities to do inside the existing YYC airport terminal the next time you find yourself waiting longer than expected for a flight.

Food Court

It's easy to become so preoccupied with getting things ready for flying that we forget to eat!

Thankfully, the Calgary Airport has several options including a food court with a Subway, Sbarros and A&W, as well as Tim Hortons, Jugo Juice and two restaurants further down the main concourse.

Life is Good

One of the first things you see after security is the clothing store called Life is Good!

It's a great reminder of just how lucky we are to live in Calgary, a place that has been named the 5th best city to live in the world for three years in a row and the best city to live in Canada in 2013.

Back to the store - they have everything from tshirts and hoodies to jackets and more, most have a "life is good" slogan with a small graphic of stick people doing something in life.

Not only is their gear unique, but it's good for replacing something you've forgotten at home in a jiffy.

Wi-Fi

If your a frequent traveller you probably already know that many airports outside of Canada don't offer free Wi-Fi Internet like the Calgary International Airport does.

Hey, take full advantage of this while waiting for your flight - it's easy to connect and there are even booths for people to sit if they really need to focus. I myself though am fond of the very comfy sofas while using the Internet.
