Doors Open YYC 2014: Opening Our Minds to New Possibilities
The first week of the fall season marks a very special event in the hearts and minds of Calgarians who are interested in architecture, arts, athletics, engineering and science – it’s called, Doors Open YYC!
Just like in the past, Doors Open YYC opens up some of Calgary’s most interesting and recognized sites to the public for free of charge. Yes, that’s right, absolutely FREE!
What is Doors Open YYC?
Doors Open YYC’s concept is adopted from other international communities where local heritage sites and other important cultural centres such as museums for example give visitors free access.
The purpose is to establish a new enthusiasm for local culture and increase vibrancy through community engagement that won’t last only for the duration of the event, but for many days to come.
Quick Facts
- When: September 27th – 28th, 2014 – Saturday and Sunday
