Calgaryism's Holy Grill (5th Ave SW) Restaurant Review
You may think I am exaggerating, but no jokes here folks… both of Holy Grill’s locations here in Calgary are as divine as it gets.
Serving up breakfast, brunch and lunch entrees during business hours for around $10.00 a pop, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu at Holy Grill – especially the family-owned restaurants most recently opened location on at 444 5th Avenue SW.

Atmosphere & Service
To get up to Holy Grill’s central downtown location, simply walk into the front of the silver skyscraper on the corner of 5th Avenue and 4th Street SW (beside Tim Horton’s) and walk up a few flights of stairs on your left. At the top Holy Grill will be on your right.
Walking into this location you’ll notice its cool industrial-style design and open-concept seating plan with a pretty decently sized patio section – perfect for enjoying a nice meal on those hot spring and summer days.
Holy Grill’s 5th Ave location stays true to the café help-yourself style for water, napkins, condiments and other things that are sometimes just easier to grab yourself. You’ll find this section on the back wall inside.
When it comes to service, Holy Grill’s friendly owner Nick is always there to greet you with a smile and so are his staff. They are more than helpful explaining menu options and recommending a particular dish if you ask. Also they have no problems catering to specific requests such as extra meat, no capers and so on and so forth. They are the best!!

If you are looking for one of the best salads in Calgary, then this is it!! I am not exactly sure what every single ingredient was that Nick used in this salad, but just ask for the Calgaryism salad and he will hook you up… it is to die for!
Overall, Holy Grill on 5th Ave and on 8th Ave in the beltline are two restaurants where you’ll get some of the most quality food for the lowest price in Calgary every time.
