Pho Huong Viet Crowfoot Calgary Vietnamese Restaurant Review
Sometimes I get cravings for food, especially pho, where I tend to go back to my favourite Calgary pho restaurants time and time again. This time around, Pho Huong Viet was my only immediate option to fill that craving and I have no regrets! Upon entering the restaurant, I was surprised to see a recently renovated, intelligently designed interior that made me feel comfortable in sitting down to eat. Hey, first impressions count!
You can really tell how good the food at any Calgary Vietnamese restaurant will be by ordering the pho satay house special soup because every single one has its own unique recipe for the dish, hence if the pho satay is good, then the rest should be as well. Pho Huong Viet did well!
The Food...
I am sure you guessed it! I ordered the pho satay house special soup (#1 on the menu). This soup was absolutely delicious, a mix between sweet and spicy with the latter winning the battle between the two tastes. Just remember, the pho satay is a spicy dish, so if you can’t handle it then try #4. It is a non-spicy version of #1.
For a large, it cost me only $7.75, and when I say large, I mean it! The bowl was huge and so was the serving. For an extra dollar between the price of a medium ($6.95) and a large, it is definitely worth getting the larger size and taking it home if you can’t finish.
If you are in the Crowfoot area and got pho on your mind, I recommend Pho Huong Viet to you! Find it in between Scotia Bank and Dairy Queen in the red trim, brick strip mall in Ranchlands, just across the street from Crowfoot.
