Best Photos of Eighth Avenue Place in Calgary
Eighth Avenue Place is one of the newest additions to the downtown Calgary skyline.
Tower One, rising up 49 floors (202m) and providing 1.1 million square feet of downtown office space, is already completed.
Tower Two, at 41 floors (177m) with 850,000 square feet of its own, is currently under construction.
When complete the design of the top of the two towers will mimic the Rocky Mountains themselves and will provide much needed office space for the downtown Calgary area.
LEED Certification
Eighth Avenue Place is hard to miss. Its sheer size and unique design distinguishes it well from the rest of the castles in the sky.
Not only is it of cunning architectural design, it is the first LEED Platinum building in all of Canada.
LEED certification from the American Green Building Council stands for a pro-green high rise facility that far surpasses the standard for reducing energy consumption and environmental footprint in all sorts of ways.
Living in Calgary, I have had ample opportunity to take multiple photographs of Eighth Avenue Place. See some of them for yourself below from Calgaryism on Facebook!
