What to Expect in the Future at East Village Calgary..
Most of us Calgarians already know about the exciting redevelopment plans for East Village. The downtown community has needed a facelift for many years, now it’s finally happening and is already well underway!
But do we know the full scope of this project… what’s to come and to expect from a completed East Village in several years time?
While you could say any plans made by participating developers thus far could change at any moment (such as the completion date of St. Patrick’s Bridge being pushed back a year due to floods), there are some definite projects and they will be the pioneering landmarks of the new East Village Calgary.
So here’s what we can expect down the road for the new and exciting downtown Calgary community!
7 Buildings by FRAM+Slokker
FIRST Condos is only the first of seven buildings to come by FRAM+Slokker! These new condos are very affordable given their riverside / downtown location and have several different floor plans to choose from. Find out more at FIRST East Village Condos.
Second by FRAM+Slokker is RiverHouse, a very exclusive luxury condominium with only few units. Learn more at RiverHouse Condos East Village before it’s too late!
Third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh, we will just have to wait and see!
5 Buildings by Embassy Bosa
Evolution Fuse is the first of three phases to come at the Evolution Condos complex in East Village Calgary. Offering upscale living in the heart of downtown, Evolution has become a favourite new condo for many urban professionals who want to live, work and play all in our city centre. Find out more at Evolution East Village Condos.
Next up for Embassy Bosa is to begin phase two and three of Evolution condos. For now, their 4th and the 5th buildings are a mystery to us all, but we can only expect the best from this developer who is looking to make a name for themselves on our “red hot” Calgary condo market.
National Music Centre
It is one of the most thrilling large scale projects to hit the downtown Calgary area for years apart from those billion dollar skyscrapers that keep on popping up everywhere.
The National Music Centre will be a gateway between the music scene in Calgary and the rest of the world and will be the site of many local activities and events year round. Find out more at the National Music Centre in East Village.
Cantos Music Museum
Inside the National Music Centre will be permanent exhibitions telling the story of music in Canada and how it has changed through emerging musical technologies from around the world.
Two of these will be the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. Music buffs, get ready to have some fun at the Cantos Music Museum in the National Music Centre!
Central Public Library
Coming to East Village Calgary is a new Central Public Library. Downtown has needed a new one for years, and what better place is there to put it than in the newly redeveloped neighbourhood?!
Besides supplying all sorts of reading materials and services to the public, the library will be a cultural hot spot and will add vibrancy to the neighbourhood. Find out more at the New Calgary Central Library!
Hilton Hotel
Hilton is looking to leave their footprint in the downtown core by building a brand new hotel in East Village Calgary.
The new Hilton Hotel will be 14 floors with 208,000 square feet spaced between 315 hotel rooms and other amenity areas. It will be an integral piece of the amenity puzzle in East Village. Find out more at New East Village Hilton Hotel Unveiled.
