Coras Northland Calgary Restaurant Review

A friend of mine had recommended we try Coras Breakfast and Lunch at Northland Mall in Calgary for some good eats. He was surprised to hear me say I had never heard of the place, being known as a restaurant review guru amongst my friends, and insisted we go. So we headed down to their Northland location for some brunch.

Atmosphere...

Coras Northland was busy, but fortunately had a few tables open for two. I noticed that the vibrant interior colours of red and yellow did a good job of revving up my appetite even more so. One thing great about Coras menu is how each menu item has a picture beside its description, giving a new customer like myself a good idea of what to order. On the table top was the latest special which looked very appetizing, the Steak Eggs Benedict which ended up being my order for the visit.

Food...

For $14, the Steak Eggs Benedict was awesome bang for my buck - slices of steak with poached eggs, mushrooms and Swiss cheese on an English muffin, smothered in hollandaise sauce served with roasted potato slices and fresh fruit. Steak and mushroom combined with the traditional eggs Benedict English muffin and hollandaise sauce is a protein packed meal that definitely subsided my hunger well. And a large assortment of fresh fruit including pieces of kiwi, cantaloupe, banana and strawberry was somewhat of a brunch style dessert and of course, a healthy alternative.

Looking for some good breakfast, brunch or lunch in northwest Calgary? Head on down to Coras Northland Mall for some delicious eats, awesome service and an enjoyable eating experience. Cora’s is very affordable and has something on the menu for even the pickiest of eaters.
