Calgary's summer festivals aren’t over just yet! Thankfully, September has its own list of ones that make the transition from summer to fall that much easier for people like me who are hypersensitive to the cloudy skies and chilly days that come with.
While September doesn't typically have as many festivals as May through August, the ones that it does have are just as spectacular and eventful as any others here in our culturally vibrant city. So, don't miss these Calgary Festivals in September of 2014!
Honens
- When: September 4th – 7th, 2014
- Where: Various venues

What better way to round out a festival-packed summer than with a visit to Honens – Canada’s International Piano Festival – where you’ll experience performances from the world’s best classical pianists as well as live bands, symphony's and much, much more.
Every three years the Honens Prize for Piano - a $100,000 cash prize and $500,000 development program – is awarded to a festival performer(s). Find out who may have the opportunity to win it this year!
Beakerhead Festival

Beakerhead is a celebration of art and engineering not only from our city, province and nation, but also from around the world.

Calgary International Film Festival
- When: September 18th – 28th, 2014

Film buffs; are you ready to experience one of the most, if not the most all-inclusive film festivals in Calgary and one of the largest of its kind in Canada?
The Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF) is an 11-day event that will take you and about 50,000 others on a journey through more than 200 national and international films of varying genre.
