Why Should You Live in the Calgary Beltline?
Rich in amenities, entertainment and culture, the Calgary Beltline has much to offer those who choose to live there. It's an ideal setting for urbanites looking to live an inner city / downtown lifestyle to the fullest, a place where in many instances they can live, work and play all a short distance away from the front door of their home.

Over the years I have been fortunate enough to have helped many people buy and sell in the Beltline communities of Connaught and Victoria Park. Just recently, the Calgary Real Estate Board merged these two communities into one and renamed the area the "Beltline."
Today, I spend a lot of my free time time in the Beltline enjoying all that it has to offer and have grown to love the area for obvious reasons. Let me share with you the three things I absolutely love about the Calgary Beltline:
#1 – Diversity of Real Estate
Beltline condos come in such a wide range of shapes, sizes and price-points that there really is a unit for nearly any type of buyer.
If you're interested in moving to the Beltline, seeing five to six separate units in different buildings around the area may also help you determine exactly what features you want out of a potential condo.
While some might love the location, others could love the floor plan and view. Perhaps as a first time home buyer, it’s the price.
Whichever the reason, I recommend that if you're interested in buying a Beltline condo that you should see as many different units as you can. It’s an integral part of getting the most for your money and being 100 percent satisfied with your purchase.
#2 – Walkability Like Nowhere Else
Another awesome thing about living in the Beltline is walkability. As a resident, you can walk from point A to point B to point C within minutes and the amount of amenities, restaurants, shops, services and entertainment venues goes on, and on.
This is rare for Calgary and the Beltline is the only place that offers such an all-inclusive walkable lifestyle.

Walking around the Beltline there's a chance you'll see an old redbrick or sandstone building constructed in the late 1800's or early 1900's.
The Peter Lougheed House and Colgrave Apartments (right) are two examples of historical buildings that still remain in the area.
Apart from the historical charm inherent to the area, its diversity of real estate has allowed people from all walks of life to co-mingle in one of the most densely-populated parts of the city.
This has created a historical and vibrant charm to the Beltline unlike any other part of Calgary, one that many locals - including myself - have come to love.
