Top 3 Restaurants in Killarney Calgary

Killarney in Calgary is more than just an awesome place to live; it’s also an awesome place to grab a bite to eat!

If you find yourself in the mood for eating out and are looking for some of the best Calgary restaurants around, even if you aren’t close to Killarney at all, consider taking a trip to the inner city community and stop by any one of these awesome restaurants. They are just that good!

Each and every dining experience I have had at these best Killarney restaurants has been a good one. Impeccable food and service on many occasions has made them my top 3 restaurants in Killarney Calgary. Here they are!

Bow Bulgogi House

Bow Bulgogi House has long been one of the best local Korean restaurants I have been to. Found in a little strip mall on 17th Avenue and 35th Street SW in Killarney, this hidden gem can be hard to find if you don’t know exactly where you’re going.

Enter Bow Bulgogi house to find a small, home style ambiance that becomes as memorable as their food once you leave. You could say it is a bit old and needs a renovation but I like to think that its part of the dining experience.

One of my favourite dishes is the beef bulgogi. Tender beef slices jam packed with a savoury juiciness served with lettuce shreds and a special mayonnaise will keep you coming back for more.

Chili Club Thai House

I just can’t resist the amazing taste of authentic Thai food at the Chili Club Thai House, also located on 17th Avenue in Killarney Calgary, only a block down from Bow Bulgogi on 36th Street SW.

Entering the Chili Club Thai House is like stepping into a little piece of Thailand. Sit amid authentic Thai paintings and sculptures while you indulge in some of the best Thai food there is in Calgary!

My favourites include #15 – Tom Kha Ghai, a sweet shrimp coconut soup, #17 – Musamun Beef Curry, a sweet yellow curry with potatoes and beef chunks, and #22 – Sya Rong Hai, marinated beef with ginger and soy sauce, these spicy bad boys are so good you’ll have to order two of them.

Spiros Pizza

Spiros is a family run Greek restaurant who has been at it for over 40 years. Dining at Spiros is an exceptional experience, taste their authentic Greek cuisine and you will feel years and years of cooking culminate into every savoury bite.

Spiros looks like a building you would see in Greece with its white build and blue trim and when you walk inside its warming ambiance makes you feel like you’ve just stepped into a little restaurant in Greece. Everything about Spiros Pizza screams authentic right down to the very last detail!

I love the pepperoni and mushrooms pizza, although any Spiros pizza I have ordered has been very tasty. Besides pizza, their souvlaki and Greek salad are to die for!
