    Mount Pleasant real estate consists almost entirely of attached and detached homes. Some multi-family properties are found in the area but are few and far between. Today, many new infills are being built in the community to replace older, worn-down construction.

    Mount Pleasant Schools

    Mount Pleasant is home to two French Immersion schools, King George Bilingual Elementary School and Ecole de la Rose Suavage French Junior and Senior High School.

    Public school students at the kindergarten to grade six level have the option between Buchanan Elementary or Rosemont Elementary, of which Rosemont has a bus courier to deliver them to and from.

    Junior High designation is to Georges P. Vanier that serves grades seven to nine. High School students either go to Crescent Heights or James Fowler depending on their wants and needs.

    Residents also have quick-and-easy access to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and Alberta University of the Arts (formerly ACAD), and also the University of Calgary.

    Some of the many bus routes that stop within or on the borders of Mount Pleasant include North Hill, Rosedale East Calgary, 16th Avenue North, Huntington, Northland, Elbow Drive and Sandstone, BRT North and West (dedicated LRT replacement), MacEwan Express, Panorama Express, Deerfoot Centre, Renfrew and Spruce Cliff, Lions Park, Dalhousie and Calgary South (South Centre Mall), and 14th Street Cross-town from North to South.

    Public transportation is abundant and available for residents at nearly all hours of the day, allowing youth and adults to travel to other parts of the city with relative ease.
