Qualex-Landmark Acquires Developmental Parcel in Connaught

Qualex-Landmark, a multi-family residential developer behind some of Calgary’s most popular beltline condo projects, has purchased its seventh property-to-date in the area with plans to construct yet another new condo. See our Qualex Landmark Developer Profile here.

The 0.7 hectare site is located on the corner of 12^th Street and 11^th Avenue SW in an up-and-coming area of the beltline currently experiencing a handful of new condo construction projects including The Met and Aura Towers (both rental properties). See the location below...

Qualex-Landmark’s vice-president Parham Mahboubi says that the company’s confidence in Calgary’s economy (even during dropping oil prices) stems from the attention the city has received on a national and international level over the past decade.

Accolades such as the 5^th Most Livable City on Earth for five consecutive years by the Economist Intelligence Unit and a handful of others from various media / research institutions should keep the spotlight on Calgary as a desirable place to live.

In addition, current market trends show many buyers turning towards affordable real estate as an alternative to more expensive single-family properties, hence, condominiums and townhomes.

According to the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB®) over the past 10 years Qualex-Landmark has had $370 million in real estate sales with approximately 1,000 units currently underway or sold in Calgary’s beltline.

Stella, Nova, Luna, (2006, 2008, 2012) @ 10^th Avenue between 10^th and 11^th Street SW

All of Mark on 10^th’s 274 units are currently sold out.

On the other hand, the two towers of Park Point will host 500 one, two bedroom (w/ den option) and penthouse suites as well as streetside live / work townhomes overlooking Central Memorial Park.

The first phase of Park Point is slated to begin sales sometime in March.
