West Village Towers, New Triple Condo Project in Downtown Calgary's West End

Wexford Development Corporation and Cidex Developments have announced plans to build a stylish new condo in Calgary's downtown west end called West Village Towers.

Located along the 9th Avenue SW corridor, the project will be across the street from the Metro Ford Dealership that currently exists on the block just east of Shaw Millenium Park and south of the Bow River.

West Village Towers are set to have an awesome location with immediate access to the Bow River pathways, LRT terminal, downtown business core and beltline.

The location is ideal for urban professionals who frequent the downtown core as the LRT zone is free of charge between 10th Street SW and City Hall Stations and is only a block away, adding a level of convenience that is hard to find in today’s new condo market.

Guaranteed bottom floor amenities will add even more convenience while doing their part to rejuvenate the 9th Avenue SW corridor and part of downtown’s west end that has fewer street level amenities compared to other nearby areas.

While downtown’s west end hasn’t seen almost any condo developments for several years, it is now an up-and-coming area that will experience a major overhaul in the years to come with new projects on their way such as West Village Towers and Avenue West End.

Architecture 

Building new condo towers with aesthetically pleasing architecture is more important today than ever before, especially in Calgary’s very active and competitive new condo market.

Besides their own partnership, Wexford and Cidex have acquired the skills of NORR Architects Vice President and Design Director Yahya Jan, a man who is a prominent figurehead in the international architect community and has been involved with many projects on the Dubai skyline.

He is the man responsible for the design of West Village Towers. Hopefully concepts for the uniquely angled roofs with what seems like penthouse suite balconies stay the same and come to life a few years ahead!
